The Iran Ceasefire Agreement Is Over - Trump

US President Donald Trump has announced that the ceasefire agreement with Iran has come to an end, stating that he does not wish to continue engagement or negotiations with the Iranian government.

Trump made this statement on Wednesday during a press briefing alongside NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

He said that in his view, the ceasefire matter is over, while accusing Iranian leaders of being extremists and claiming that if they possessed nuclear weapons, they would use them.

Trump also expressed skepticism about the possibility of continuing nuclear negotiations with Iran, saying he would consult with his team of mediators, but stated that continued negotiations with Iranian officials are useless because, according to him, they do not keep their promises.

According to Trump, Iranian officials sometimes agree to certain terms in private during negotiations, but later come out and deny them publicly.

Although he said that official negotiations could still continue, Trump emphasized that in his view, the matter is over.

This comes as tensions between the two countries continue to escalate.

Reports say the United States has launched strikes on 80 locations in Iran, while Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps have responded by launching attacks on 85 US military bases in Bahrain and Kuwait.
