US President Donald Trump has stated that the United States and Israel have agreed to halt the launching of new attacks on Iran, provided that an agreement to urgently end the crisis is reached.
Trump said he made this decision after discussions with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and following Iran's talks with Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey to reduce tensions in the region.
However, Iran has denied claims that it asked the US to stop the attacks, stating that Trump's comments are false, while emphasizing that its forces remain on high alert.
Trump said any agreement must include the full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the cessation of Iran's nuclear program, as the crisis continues to drive up oil prices and fuel fears of further conflict in the Middle East.
