The Northern Christian Association (NCA) has expressed its support for the Catholic priests of Nigeria following their meeting with President Bola Tinubu, while criticizing the President's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Daniel Bwala.
The association's chairman, Reverend Joseph Hayab, stated that the priests' remarks addressed issues of security, the economy, and the lives of all Nigerians, not just Catholics.
Hayab accused Bwala of attempting to sow division among Christians, emphasizing that the NCA comprises members from various denominations, including Catholic, Anglican, Baptist, ECWA, Methodist, and Pentecostal.
He also said the federal government should receive the priests' counsel with respect rather than issuing a response that could further divide the nation, warning that the country's challenges would affect everyone if not urgently addressed.
