Voters in Guinea-Bissau are casting ballots today in a referendum on whether to approve a new constitution that would grant the president greater powers.
The referendum comes less than a year after the military seized power in the West African country.
A general election is scheduled to take place in December to restore civilian rule following the military coup.
However, the country’s main opposition party has boycotted the referendum.
