A court in Poland has approved the extradition of a Russian archaeologist to Ukraine, following a request from Ukrainian authorities.
The court ruled that there is sufficient evidence to allow the transfer so that the individual can face charges in Ukraine, despite efforts by his lawyers to block the move.
The archaeologist is accused of offenses related to historical artifacts and violations of laws protecting cultural property, which drew the attention of authorities in the region.
