Former gang leader Duane “Keffe D” Davis has been found guilty of the killing of legendary American rapper Tupac Shakur.
Shakur was shot in Las Vegas, Nevada, in September 1996 and died several days later from his injuries. His death remained one of the most prominent unsolved cases in hip-hop for decades.
Prosecutors argued that Davis played a key role in organising the attack. Davis had previously acknowledged being in the vehicle from which the shots were fired, but he had pleaded not guilty to the murder charge.
The verdict brings a major development in a case that has attracted worldwide attention for nearly three decades. Davis is now facing a potential lengthy prison sentence.
