President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with the Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Dr Musa Aliyu, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Musa Aliyu arrived at the villa around 5:40 pm for the meeting, but the agenda of the discussions was not disclosed.
The meeting comes one day after Tinubu directed the ICPC to conduct a full investigation into the scandal involving a fake agency named the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC).
On August 6, Aliyu presented an interim report on the investigation to Tinubu, in which the ICPC found that the PFIPC is not a legally established agency nor a valid government directive.
The commission also stated that the individual claiming to have established the agency, Adeniyi Matthew Adeyemi, used forged documents to carry out his activities and created other fake agencies.
