Reports state that Carlos, who is currently 53 years old, converted to Islam about four weeks ago after reciting the Kalmar Shahada during a meeting with Sheikh Jihad Hamada, one of the prominent Islamic scholars and preachers within the Muslim community in Brazil.
The report originates from several Turkish news outlets, including Haberler, which stated that the former Real Madrid and Brazilian national team player has embraced Islam.
The player, Roberto Carlos, spent a significant portion of his football career playing for elite clubs, including Real Madrid and Fenerbahçe, winning major trophies at both club and international levels with Brazil.
However, as of now, there has been no direct confirmation from Roberto Carlos himself regarding the reports of his conversion to Islam.
