The main opposition figure and ADC Presidential Candidate Atiku Abubakar has raised an alarm, stating that more than seven hundred and sixty-seven (767) industries have been completely shut down and have stopped operating entirely, while another three hundred and thirty-five (335) industries are currently facing the threat of collapse.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar dismissed the APC government's reports claiming that Nigeria’s economy is growing. He described the figures released by the government as things that do not reflect the condition the common people are in.
Atiku blamed government policies for this, citing the removal of fuel subsidy and the high cost of electricity as the major reasons that have pushed companies into hardship. Atiku based his statements on reports released by the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN).
Finally, the ADC Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, once again called on the Federal Government to review its policies in order to rescue the manufacturing sector from the difficulties it is facing, and to also make efforts to reduce the hardship the people are going through.
