Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, along with his counterparts from Yobe, Sokoto, and Jigawa states, have praised the national chairman of the JIBWIS scholars' council, Sheikh Muhammad Sani Yahaya Jingir, for his efforts in promoting Muslim unity and peace in Nigeria.
The governors made this known at a one-day national conference organized by JIBWIS in Jos, Plateau State, focused on increasing community participation in political affairs and supporting justice as a means to achieve national cohesion and development.
During the conference, JIBWIS called on its members across the country to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice President Kashim Shettima and vote for them in the 2027 presidential election.
The National Administrative Chairman of JIBWIS, Sheikh Abdulnasir Abdulmuhuyi, expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Tinubu-Shettima administration, stating that it has demonstrated diligence and commitment to national development in its first three years.
Sheikh Jingir also called on JIBWIS members to renew their support for Tinubu and Shettima for the 2027 election.
Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, speaking on behalf of the governors of Kano, Sokoto, Jigawa, and Yobe, praised Sheikh Jingir for his dedication to promoting national cohesion and peace among Nigerians.
In his goodwill message, the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, stated that Nigeria cannot afford to disregard the Tinubu-Shettima administration in 2027, while also commending Sheikh Jingir for his efforts in fostering peace and unity.
During the event, Hon. Ibrahim Kabir Masari and Governor Mai Mala Buni each contributed 300 million naira toward the establishment of Fortune University, founded by Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir.
The conference was attended by prominent Islamic scholars, politicians, government officials, and JIBWIS members from various parts of the country, who discussed political affairs, justice, national unity, and sustainable development.
