This morning, Thursday 13/08/2026 at about 11:00 AM, bandits invaded Fulalawa village in Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State and opened fire.
We received a report of the bandits' entry into Fulalawa town where they carried out indiscriminate shootings, which forced residents of the area to run into their homes. While that was happening, they started breaking into phone charging shops and stealing phones and money.
Shortly after the incident, C-Watch officials and the Musawa LGA Police received the report, which made them rush to provide assistance. The report stated that there was a prolonged exchange of gunfire between the security personnel and the bandits.
However, in the end, the security personnel made efforts to repel the bandits where they shot one of the bandits, and seized two brand new motorcycles.
The officers also succeeded in recovering a "roba-roba" type motorcycle belonging to a resident of Marabar Musawa town called Dan Turai, and they recovered one sack that was filled with people’s phones and money. In addition to that, they prevented the bandits from taking away about 120 livestock that they had rustled: sixty (60) cows and sixty (60) sheep.
The people of Fulalawa village expressed great happiness and appreciation for this success that the security personnel recorded against these bandits.
