The Israeli security service Shin Bet has confirmed that Yair Netanyahu, the eldest son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, was urgently evacuated from Florida back to Israel following what it described as a “significant threat” to his safety.
Yair had been living in the United States for several years and was accompanied by an Israeli security team. According to reports, he was ordered to leave the area immediately and returned to Israel without taking his personal belongings.
Shin Bet did not publicly disclose the exact nature of the threat or identify who was behind it. The evacuation came days after Netanyahu claimed that Iran had attempted to assassinate one of his sons, although he did not initially identify which son or provide details of the alleged attempt.
The latest development comes amid continuing tensions between Israel and Iran, with concerns over possible attacks against prominent Israeli figures and their families.
Authorities have not publicly provided evidence linking the latest threat specifically to Iran, so that attribution remains unconfirmed.
