A message of gratitude and reassurance to fans posted on his page by Jamal Musiala, the Bayern Munich player from Germany, after he went collapse again in their match against Heidenheim just eight minutes after kickoff having previously been collapsed during a friendly match against Leipzig. Here is what he said in the statement he published on his Facebook page:
I'm particularly grateful for your messages and your support!
I understand that many of you are worried. I want to take this concern today and explain a bit to you:
I have temporarily and briefly experienced absences that are treatable and can be attributed to neurological dysfunction.
These can be one of the recent moments, such as against Leipzig or even now in Heidenheim.
I know that these may seem scary at first glance - but for me, they are currently part of my daily routine. I'm currently receiving the best medical treatment and am very optimistic. The FC Bayern and my private circle are always by my side and support me on this path.
The important thing is that there is no additional health risk. In close coordination and regular exchange with the experts, it has been my personal wish to take on the challenge and with the approval of the neurological specialists to continue with it, which helps me recover the most: simply to live my daily life and continue playing football with my passion. For this, I've taken on the responsibility. I have a very good feeling overall and am on the right track.
What helps me the most on this path is to continue to win and win titles with my team and your great support.
I hope you can understand me better. At the same time, I ask for your understanding that I want to keep this topic among my closest confidants, the club, and the experts.
Thank you very much
