The people of the world, especially football fans, have condemned the way the football governing body is showing lack of support for African teams. No matter how hard they try, they will always find a way to knock them out, to make sure their status doesn't rise like they want. The uproar started after the match that was played between Argentina and Egypt, a match that ended 3-2.
In yesterday's match, the match played between Argentina _“the Shafaffu and Mai”_ and Egypt, the referee openly showed whose side he was on in the game.
Among the things that showed this in his officiating are:
1. He disallowed a goal scored by Egypt, saying a foul was committed on Martinez, the Argentina defender.
2. He refused to award a penalty for the tackle on Moh. Salah inside Argentina's 18-yard box, and Argentina went on to score from that same attack and he didn't stop to check play, as he did for the Argentina.
And other complaints that made a lot of football analysts condemn it.
Even the team coach, Hossam Hassan, was not left out in speaking his mind. He said:
"If FIFA just wants to take the World Cup trophy and hand it to Argentina, it would have been better than inviting us here to waste our time. Everyone saw what happened. So we know this was just a setup against us. And I will say it no matter what punishment they decide to give me, I don't care."
