Lately, we have heard how some Kannywood actors made a sudden move and pulled out of Dauda Kahutu Rarara’s political movement, the Triple R.
We heard the statements made by one of the Kannywood Elders, Rabi'u Rikadawa, during his exit from the movement. His words were about division and lack of fairness in how the group was being run.
We also heard Mansura Isa, the former wife of Sani Musa Danja, whose words caused a lot of controversy after she left the group.
And we also heard unpleasant comments from Elder Hamisu Iyan Tama about this same Triple R movement. He is also a former director, former film producer, and an actor in the Kannywood industry.
Then suddenly! We heard that the movement has made new recruitments. They presented new elders who joined the movement, including Alhaji Kabiru Maikaba and Al'amin Buhari and other elders.
Aside from them, there are also many young people who joined: Garzali Miko, T.Y Shaba, Bilal Mustapha, Dan Hajiya, Furodusa Dan Hisba, Fati Shu'uma, and Fati KK — the one who "vomited and won", left, and has now returned.
At the inauguration event for the new members, the leader of the movement, Dauda Kahutu Rarara, stated the 3 main objectives of the group:
1. To be a bridge between the group and the government, and between Triple R and the common people.
2. To bring new things to the Kannywood industry that have never been done before, especially things that will grow the industry.
3. Mutual support for Kannywood members.
In the past, after the crisis that caused some Kannywood members to leave the movement, we heard that the group made an effort where they paid ₦3 million for a sick Kannywood actress who was in the hospital to undergo surgery.
At the event to unveil the new elder members, the Kannywood Elders said:
"Truly, we have gotten the reasons for joining the APC party, and we will come with those reasons very soon..."
And we are here with bated breath, waiting to hear these reasons that might also convince us to get reasons to join the APC party.
