Sports analysts, commentators, and even some of "King Messi's" critics said that Argentina was only given the chance to keep shining in this match, not that their strength is what beat the other team. They pointed to the red card given to the Switzerland striker Embolo in the 74th minute, which is what allowed Argentina to beat them in the 30 minutes of extra time that were played.
But on the other hand, if you look at Embolo's foul, you would agree that he deserved that card. But you know, there's nothing you can do with someone who doesn't like you. That's how talk started spreading that Egypt was cheated. But when the head of referees, Collina, came out he defended the decision and said that what was done to Salah was not enough to be called a foul. Even though he too did not spare harsh words for those who don't like Messi and his team.
