Pami Accuses Opponents of Harassing Him During Campaign Tour

The PUNCH newspaper reported that Pantami made this known in a statement he issued on Tuesday, following a visit he made on Monday to the local government areas of Shongom, Kaltungo, and Billiri, where he met with his party leaders and supporters.

He said the reception he received was overwhelming, and that this unsettled some individuals.

According to him, this person began seeking information on his whereabouts in order to orchestrate a sinister plot against him.

"We have the right to move freely anywhere in Nigeria as provided for by Section 41(1) of the 1999 Constitution."

He also stated that he would proceed with visits to the local government areas of Akko, Balanga, and Yamaltu-Deba, noting that they had received intelligence about a plot being hatched against him in Akko.

Furthermore, Pantami accused some authorities of using state power to intimidate his supporters, even threatening to arrest them because of their support for him.

He said this contravenes Section 40 of the Constitution, which grants citizens the right to form and belong to associations.

Pantami also alleged that there were efforts to suppress information regarding certain large sums of money said to have been given to some Hausa musicians from Kano.

He said one of the individuals connected to the matter had left the group and revealed the truth of what happened.

Pantami urged his party leaders and supporters to remain resolute and fearless in the face of threats.
