The Board also announced that only 87 days remain before registration closes, urging intending pilgrims to register promptly.

The Director-General of the Board, Ahmed Labbo, disclosed this during a meeting with the Board's officers from the 27 local government areas of the state, held at the Board's headquarters in Dutse.

Labbo stated that early collection of the funds would allow intending pilgrims to secure their slots while also avoiding the rush usually experienced at the end of the period.

He explained that this measure aligns with the directives of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and Saudi authorities, who have requested that preparations for the Hajj pilgrimage commence early.

According to him, the Saudi Hajj and Umrah authorities have set September as the final deadline for registering intending pilgrims from various parts of the world.

Therefore, he instructed the Board's zonal officers to intensify public enlightenment and ensure that all slots allocated to the state are filled before the deadline expires.

The Director-General praised the Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Umar Namadi, for his continued full support to the Board, stating that this has contributed to the successful conduct of Hajj operations in the state.
