The Accusations Made By Muslims Against Yahaya Masussuka Regarding His 'Qur'an Alone' Advocacy Across Nigeria

As published by Sheikh Ibrahim Musa Faskari on Friday, 21/11/2025 on his Facebook page, the respected scholar listed the accusations made by the Muslim community against Yahaya Masussuka regarding his 'Qur'an alone' advocacy across Nigeria. Here are the published accusations:

Sheikh Ibrahim Musa

1. He claims Hadiths contradict the verses of the Qur'an. We want him to PROVE this by bringing the evidence that verifies this claim.

2. He says: HADITHS ARE NOT THE STATEMENTS OF THE PROPHET (SAW). He should be asked to bring us the authentic statements of the Prophet. If the Prophet did not speak, he should say so. If the Prophet did speak, but all the statements have been lost throughout history, he should also say so, so that everyone will understand.

3. He says: Bukhari and Muslim are both liars and drunkards. He should come and provide evidence of when they drank alcohol, and also show where they lied.

4. He says: The Prophet (SAW) will not provide intercession. He should be made to sit down and have the intercession of the Prophet of Mercy confirmed to him.

5. He says: The five daily prayers were not established through narration, but were inherited from generation to generation. He should be restrained to say this in the presence of the one from whom he inherited it, and what is the difference between that and the ISNAD (chain of transmission) OF HADITH?

6. He says: Historically, there was no Nana Fatima, the daughter of the Prophet, and there were no Grandsons of the Prophet (Hassan and Hussein). He should be made to provide historical proof of their existence and their numerous virtues.

7. He says: He is a 'Qur'an alone' follower. He should be asked, from where did he get the Qur'an he is following? Was revelation sent to him? Or was it given to him in a dream?

8. He should be asked: What is the benefit of sending the Qur'an through the Prophet if not for him to explain to the people what was revealed to them?

9. What will we see today that will show the legacy of the work of explanation/elucidation that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) carried out on the Qur'an revealed to him?

10. There are some chapters and verses that we would like to ask him where he got his interpretation from, since he does not accept the interpretation narrated from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

If he provides satisfactory answers, then he can return home with honor. But if he fails, then he has the following two options:

1. He should repent from these vile statements of his. He should return to school to be taught the true reality of the Islamic religion.

2. He should come out openly and declare the religion he is following, which is different from the one brought by the Prophet (SAW).

And we know that under Nigerian law, he has the freedom to do whatever he wants. If he deems it fit, he can say: 'I don't even accept any part of the Qur'an.' However, it is certainly not the Islam brought by Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

We pray to Allah to clearly manifest the truth, to aid the people of truth, to grant us the ability to follow it, and to destroy falsehood and its people.

Ibrahim Musa,

The Eve of Jumu'ah 30/5/1447(21/11/2025).
