In an interview with one of the modern Hausa musicians, Alhaji Ali Jita, who is also a Kannywood musician, and his colleague Adam A. Zango an actor, musician, and producer in Kannywood on the show Zauren Jita, also called Jita Talkshow
The actor shared a long story about a painful incident that happened to him before he joined the film industry. Zango explained how Allah saved his life and that of his elderly guardian from the hands of an armed robber in Zangon Kataf during the tribal clash at that time.
However, it seems that was not the part of the interview that caught the listeners' attention the most.
What drew the most attention was how the producer, Adam A. Zango, described how his time with Rarara ended up being a waste of time. He said:
"I would drop a job that would pay me 1 million naira just to follow Rarara on a trip, and in the end when we return he would give me three hundred thousand naira (₦300,000). Then he would tell me 'we will talk later', but up till now we haven’t talked. That’s all just greetings. I think we went on about ten-something trips with him, but he never gave me more than ₦300,000."
During the discussion he also touched on their tour with the "13-13" group, which included the host himself, Ali Jita. He said:
"If we had used the agreement paper that was signed by the 13-13 group to take Dauda Adamu Abdullahi Kahutu (RARARA) to court, wallahi we would have won. But we didn’t do it."
In the interview, Adam A. Zango clearly stated that he does not belong to any political party. He said, "I support a person, not a party." So for now he is not campaigning for anyone. However, he added that whoever gives him money he will accept, but he will no longer follow any "big man" around.
At the end we heard Ali Jita and Zango joking about something that musician Nura M. Inuwa used to say during their 13-13 tour. Ali Jita promised to invite M. Inuwa so he can explain what he meant when, if they were to be photographed among people, he would say: (KA HALAKA) YOU ARE DOOMED."
