Leaders and members of the political movement of former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and former Senator for Gombe North, Bayero Nafada, have declared their support for the PDP gubernatorial candidate in Gombe State, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami.
They made this known after a meeting with Pantami, emphasizing that they would not follow Nafada to the APC after his defection.
The leader of the delegation, Malachi Karfe Kanadi, said they have decided to remain in the PDP and work to ensure Pantami's victory in the 2027 gubernatorial election.
He said that despite the leadership Bayero Nafada provided them over the years, they have chosen to remain loyal to the PDP, which they described as the party capable of delivering quality governance in the state.
In his remarks, Professor Pantami thanked them for their trust and support, promising to run an inclusive administration that gives everyone a role in party affairs.
He also called on PDP members to unite in strengthening the party and reclaiming Gombe State in the 2027 elections.
