The acting spokesperson for the task force, Captain Jamilu Yahaya, revealed this in a statement issued on Sunday, stating that the arrests were made during routine patrols in different parts of the state.

According to him, on June 6, 2026, troops arrested three people in the Doro area of Wawa, Borgu Local Government Area, who are suspected of having ties to a bandit group operating near the Kainji Lake National Park forest.

He said preliminary investigations indicated that the suspects are part of a bandit network carrying out activities in the Duru area and its surroundings.

He added that items recovered from them include two Tecno button phones, an MP3 device, and cash amounting to ₦113,400.
