Following the military operations that came to fight terrorism in Musawa and Matazu Local Government Areas. Kachalla Maha has re-emerged with full force.
If you haven't forgotten, Kachalla Maha once came out and claimed responsibility for kidnapping Brigadier General Rabe Abubakar (Rtd) and his wife on their way to Katsina city.
Later, he released a video of himself with the wife, stating his demands to the government. Shortly after that, news broke that Brigadier General Rabe Abubakar had passed away, while his wife and the others Maha was holding were still in his custody.
Two days after this incident, the Federal Government deployed specially trained soldiers. The Chief of Army Staff came and launched an exercise called "Operation Fansar Yamma".
They indeed went for revenge, because they tried to rescue the wife of the late Rabe Abubakar along with four (4) other people who were with Maha. By the time the soldiers found the wife, she was in a pool of blood with a gunshot wound to her leg. This forced them to rush her and the others who were rescued to the hospital for medical care.
However, throughout the entire duration of the Operation, they could not capture Kachalla Maha. This was despite strict measures that were taken, which included: a ban on motorcycle riding, a ban on POS business, a ban on phone charging businesses, and a total shutdown of all networks across Musawa, Matazu, Malumfashi, Kankia, and Dutsinma LGAs for almost 8 days.
On Wednesday, 5 days after the network was restored, news of the killing of Maha's top commander named Samagi appeared on social media. However, this effort was by the "Yan Sa Kai" vigilantes, not the military.
A source from residents of the area confirmed to me that it was revealed that the people of Sayaya town exposed Samagi and his friend, who had disguised themselves with the intention of escaping, and the vigilantes caught and killed them.
Alas! This is the reason Kachalla Maha reappeared in Sayaya and killed seven people instantly.
Last night too, we received reports of his appearance in Ɗanjanku village, a ward under Musawa LGA. But as of the time of filing this report, we have not yet gotten the number of casualties he caused.
