Israel and Iran continued exchanging missile and air attacks as a ceasefire agreement between the two sides showed signs of collapsing.
Reports said Iran launched missiles toward several areas in Israel following Israeli strikes in Lebanon and other locations linked to Tehran’s regional allies. In response, Israel carried out new attacks on military sites and facilities inside Iran.
Security officials stated that air defense systems intercepted some of the incoming missiles, while explosions were reported in multiple cities in both countries.
US President Donald Trump called on both sides to exercise restraint and return to negotiations, but the fighting continued despite diplomatic efforts.
Political analysts warned that the renewed attacks could further destabilize the Middle East and place the ceasefire agreement under serious threat. There are also concerns that the conflict could affect global oil prices and the security of shipping routes in the Gulf region.
International organizations and the United Nations have again urged all parties to reduce tensions and prevent the conflict from escalating into a wider regional war.
