The APC primaries will begin tomorrow, Friday, starting with the House of Representatives primaries.

"We established the APC for societal development, the promotion of democracy, and sacrifice. This sacrifice has helped us become a benchmark, so we need to continue upholding it," he said.

He stated that elections are among the key pillars of democracy and called for the primaries to be conducted as brothers.

"All candidates and voters must ensure peace and prioritize the interests of the party and the nation as a whole. In every contest, there must be a winner and a loser. My hope is that they will all come together and work as a team."

Tinubu also called on those who will lose to be patient and support the winners, saying, "the true winner is the one who patiently waits for another opportunity, not the one who seeks to destroy others."

The president also said that those who win should carry everyone along: "Let us avoid the outdated politics of 'do-or-die'."
