Breaking News: The opposition NDC party in Kano has nominated former Kano Deputy Governor under the NNPP, Comrade Abdulsalam, as its candidate for Kano Governor ahead of the 2027 election, without any opposition.
Many people had wanted former APC governorship candidate Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna to be named as the governorship candidate, but surprisingly, he was instead named as the candidate for Kano Central Senatorial District.
At first, Gawuna resisted and refused the senatorial ticket offer. However, after consultations and advice from political associates, he later agreed to accept the candidacy.
A video clip has surfaced, shared by Saifullahi Hassan with a special message from Kwankwaso in the video. Kwankwasiyya leader Dr. Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso is seen calling on all Kwankwasiyya political supporters to come out en masse to support the candidacies of Abdulsalam, Gawuna, and Peter Obi in Kano State today, Friday.
