The conflict in the Middle East has entered a new and more dangerous phase after Israel launched a strike on South Pars, the largest gas field in Iran, triggering reactions across the Gulf region.
The attack damaged critical energy infrastructure in Iran, prompting Tehran to respond with missile and drone strikes targeting oil and gas facilities in countries such as Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait.
Iranian officials warned that any further attacks on their energy infrastructure would lead to stronger retaliation, describing the escalation as a “new phase” of the war.
The situation has already disrupted global energy markets, with oil and gas prices rising sharply due to fears of supply interruptions from the Gulf, one of the world’s most important energy-producing regions.
