According to Ukrainian authorities, the strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro, and Kharkiv, killing at least 28 people and injuring dozens more. Residential buildings, schools, and hospitals were among the structures damaged in the assault.

President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attacks, describing them as “another act of terror” and vowing that Russia would be held accountable. He stated: “Among the dead are innocent children who were asleep when the missiles hit. This is not warfare - it is pure evil.”

The Ukrainian Air Force said it intercepted several incoming missiles but that some managed to hit populated areas. Emergency services are still searching for survivors under the rubble.

The United Nations and several Western nations have expressed outrage, calling for stronger international measures to protect civilians and to hold those responsible for the strikes to justice.
