Hamas Continues Search for Captives, Remains as Israel Blocks Aid

The Hamas group has announced that it is continuing its search for the remains of Israeli captives who died during the ongoing conflict in Gaza, even as Israel maintains its blockade on humanitarian aid to civilians.

Reports from the region indicate that Hamas is conducting the search in several areas that were heavily bombed by Israeli forces in recent weeks. A source within the group stated that “efforts are ongoing to locate the bodies for a possible future exchange with Israel.”

Meanwhile, displaced civilians in Gaza are facing worsening conditions, with shortages of food, water, and medicine due to Israel’s continued restriction of humanitarian supplies. United Nations aid agencies have warned that if the blockade persists, a major famine and disease outbreak could occur.

The UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) said: “People in Gaza have reached a breaking point. Humanitarian corridors must be opened immediately.”

Despite mounting international pressure, the Israeli government has said it will not open the aid routes until all hostages held by Hamas are released.
