Turkish prosecutors have issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the defense minister, and 35 other officials.
The Istanbul chief public prosecutor's office said the individuals are wanted for war crimes and genocide committed in the Gaza Strip, as well as regarding an aid flotilla.
Israel has repeatedly denied allegations of committing genocide in Gaza.
Turkey's move comes as US President Donald Trump praised the role Turkey played in brokering a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel.
Additionally, Turkey is planning to send troops to work with their counterparts in maintaining peace in the Gaza Strip.
