Tinubu Approves ₦760,915.83 for Northern Pilgrims on Each Seat for the Upcoming Hajj. The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has announced the discounts made by the Federal Government for Nigerian Muslims intending to perform the obligatory 2026 Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
Last month, President Tinubu had directed the Commission to expedite the provision of some relief on the Hajj costs for Nigerian Muslims.
According to the Commission's announcement, prospective pilgrims from the North East zone, which includes Borno and Adamawa, will now pay ₦7,579,020.96, having received a discount of ₦748,104.63 from the previously announced price.
Prospective pilgrims from other Northern states will pay ₦7,696,769.76 per seat, having received a discount of ₦760,915.83.
Those traveling from the Southern states will pay ₦7,991,141.76 for each Hajj seat, having received a discount of ₦792,943.83.
As reported by Katsina Daily News, the Commission has also extended the deadline for the continuation of Hajj fare payments until December 5, 2025.
