The Federal Government has deployed additional troops to Zamfara State to intensify the fight against bandits and other criminals in the state. The Minister of State for Defence, Alhaji Bello Matawalle, disclosed this while addressing supporters of the APC in Gusau on Friday.
"I am here to meet with the troops to give them directives that will ensure the activities of bandits and criminals in the state are curtailed," said Matawalle.
He added, "President Bola Tinubu's administration will not relent in tackling the insecurity plaguing the nation. From now on, no one will say they are waiting for orders from above. We will give the orders, and we will ensure an end to all forms of crime across the nation."
Matawalle commended the APC supporters for their backing of President Tinubu as the party's sole candidate for the 2027 election.
He also described President Tinubu as "a visionary leader with policies and programs focused on the people," citing the construction of the dual-carriage highway from Zaria to Sokoto as an example.
The Minister urged APC members to continue raising public awareness to gain more support for Tinubu ahead of the upcoming election.
