Former Nigerian Vice President Atiku Abubakar has obtained a membership card of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in his Jada constituency in Adamawa State

Atiku announced his new affiliation on his X handle, where he shared photos of himself holding the ADC membership card, accompanied by a short message confirming his official entry into the party.
Atiku had, on July 14, 2025, announced his resignation from the PDP in a statement, saying he was leaving without hesitation.
He also stated that it had become necessary to part ways with the PDP at this time, noting that the party had deviated significantly from its original principles.
