Former Vice President and presidential candidate of the ADC, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has expressed delight over a courtesy visit paid to him by the former First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, wife of the late former President.
He described it as a visit filled with mutual respect, which highlighted the crucial responsibility leaders bear in driving national development and ensuring public welfare.
In a statement posted on his web page, Atiku Abubakar called attention to the severe economic pressures facing families across Nigeria due to the surging costs of fuel, food, transportation, education, and healthcare. He emphasized that the current situation demands concrete steps to ease the burden of living for citizens.
The former vice president stated that Nigerians deserve an economy that restores opportunities for progress while ensuring every household lives in dignity and contentment. According to him, this is the nation that should be built together a Nigeria that works for all its citizens without discrimination.
