The Pentagon is urging the United States to speed up weapons production amid growing concerns that the country’s military stockpiles could be depleted by sustained demand and recent conflicts.

The Pentagon wants defence companies to expand manufacturing capacity, strengthen supply chains and reduce the time needed to produce and deliver weapons. Some manufacturers have already announced plans to build new facilities or expand existing production lines.
US officials say maintaining adequate stockpiles is essential not only for current military operations but also for ensuring the country's ability to respond rapidly to future security threats.
The push for faster production is expected to increase pressure on the US government and defence industry to invest more heavily in manufacturing capacity and ensure that critical weapons and components remain available when needed.
