Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Kogi East Senatorial District have paid a thank-you visit to the former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, at his residence in Abuja.
The delegation, led by the APC candidate for the Kogi East Senatorial seat, Dr. Joseph Erico, said the visit was to express gratitude to Yahaya Bello for his leadership, support, and counsel both before and after the party's primary election, which resulted in Erico emerging as the candidate.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Hon. Edime Edime praised Yahaya Bello for his efforts in ensuring unity and peace within the APC and in Kogi State.
He stated that the former governor's leadership helped strengthen party cohesion and peaceful coexistence among the communities in the state.
In his remarks, Yahaya Bello thanked the delegation for the visit and congratulated Dr. Joseph Erico on becoming the APC candidate for the Kogi East Senatorial seat.
He also urged party members to continue to remain united and intensify efforts in mobilizing public support to secure victory in the upcoming elections.
Similarly, Bello called on APC members to continue to back President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the progress of Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole.
