Katsina State Government Recruits Another 2,158 New Primary School Teachers Across the State

Quality education starts with quality teachers. That is why ensuring a transparent, merit-based recruitment process is extremely important in building the future we envision for our children and for our Katsina State.

Today, I had the opportunity to flag off the distribution of appointment letters to 2,158 newly recruited teachers for the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (SUBEB). They were selected based on competence, merit, and the actual staffing needs of our schools, to ensure that every child has a good opportunity to learn from qualified and dedicated teachers.

Since the beginning of our administration, we have recruited over 9,000 teachers, rehabilitated many schools, built new learning facilities, trained over 25,000 teachers, launched the N30,000 rural teachers’ allowance, expanded digital learning through the distribution of 18,000 tablets, and established the Centre for Teacher Training and Development. These investments show our commitment to rebuilding and strengthening the education sector and promoting human capital development.

To the newly appointed teachers, I congratulate you on this opportunity you have earned through a rigorous and merit-based process. Your appointment is not just a job; it is a call to service. I urge you to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and dedication as you nurture the minds and character of the next generation.

Under our "Building Your Future" agenda, we will continue to invest in education because the sustainable development of Katsina State depends on the quality of education we provide today.

May Allah (SWT) bless the teachers, the children, and Katsina State.
