Jigawa APC Suspends Reps Member over Alleged Anti-party Activities

The suspension, which takes immediate effect, was approved by the State Executive Committee (SEC) of the party, pending the conclusion of investigations by the APC State Disciplinary Committee.

This was contained in a statement signed by the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Ahmed Garba Maikudi, and made available to Tribune Online in Dutse, stating that the decision followed complaints and reports submitted by what it described as concerned and loyal party members regarding the conduct of the affected officials.

According to the party, the allegations relate to incidents that allegedly occurred on May 26, 2026, in Auyo town of Auyo Local Government Area, where the suspended members were accused of engaging in actions capable of undermining the authority of the party, creating division among members, and bringing the APC into public disrepute.

The party leadership stated that the alleged conduct, if established, would constitute violations of Article 21.2(ii), (vi), (vii) and (viii) of the APC Constitution, which prohibit acts of disloyalty, anti-party activities, conduct capable of embarrassing the party, and actions likely to cause discord among members.

Those affected by the suspension are Hon. Ibrahim Usman Auyo, member representing Auyo/Hadejia/Kafin Hausa Federal Constituency; Aisha Adamu Auyo (Kande), State Deputy Women Leader; Yargabi Babannan Auyo, Auyo Ward Women Leader; Musa Idris Zabarau, Auyo Ward Chairman; Ibrahim Ayama, Auyo Local Government Vice Chairman; Saje Hadiyau, Local Government Financial Secretary; and Sani Abdullahi Hadiyau, Auyo Ward Vice Chairman.

The APC directed the suspended officials to refrain from representing themselves as officers, agents or representatives of the party, attending meetings or participating in party activities in any official capacity, exercising privileges attached to their offices, or taking any action capable of influencing the ongoing disciplinary process.
