China Warns Against Government Change In Iran, Says ‘No Popular Support’

China has warned against attempts to change the government in Iran, saying such efforts would not have the backing of the Iranian people.

China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi made the remarks during a press conference in Beijing on the sidelines of the country’s annual parliamentary meetings. He said that trying to force a political change in Iran or planning a so-called “colour revolution” would “find no popular support.”

Wang also called for an immediate end to military operations in the Middle East and urged all sides involved in the conflict to return to negotiations as soon as possible. According to him, the war in Iran “should never have happened” and armed conflict will only deepen hatred and create new crises.

The Chinese diplomat stressed that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iran and other countries in the region must be respected, warning that the world must not return to what he described as the “law of the jungle,” where powerful countries use force to impose their will.

China also urged major powers to play a constructive role in reducing tensions and said disputes in the Middle East should be resolved through dialogue and political solutions rather than military action.

The comments come as tensions remain high following ongoing military operations involving United States, Israel, and Iran.
