How Epstein Tried to Buy a Moroccan Palace Months Before His Death

Disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein reportedly attempted to purchase a luxury palace in Morocco just months before his death in 2019, according to accounts that later emerged during investigations into his finances and movements.

Reports say Epstein explored acquiring a high-end residence, described as a palace or large estate, possibly as part of plans to relocate or expand his international property holdings. At the time, he was facing mounting legal pressure in the United States, including renewed scrutiny over sex-trafficking allegations.

Investigators and journalists later pointed to the attempted purchase as evidence that Epstein was still managing wealth and considering future living arrangements abroad, even as his legal troubles intensified. The deal, however, was never completed before his arrest in July 2019 and his death the following month while in federal custody.
