We are not happy with the government's attempt to clamp down on Malam Masussuka's school, said Amnesty International
Amnesty International is deeply concerned about the attempt to clamp down on Malam Yahaya Masssuka, an Islamic teacher known for his peaceful preaching.
"The attempt to manipulate government power to clamp down on Malam Masussuka and shut down his schools, despite the lack of evidence showing that he has broken the law, must stop. This action infringes on religious freedom and suppresses those with different opinions."
Amnesty International stated this on its Facebook page, hours after the Katsina State Government announced that it would facilitate a dialogue between Masussuka and Katsina State Islamic scholars.
