Nigerian authorities have received 180 citizens described as "stranded and distressed in Libya" after their repatriation on Tuesday.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said the people arrived at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
Among them were 45 adult males, 102 adult females, six male children, and 13 female children. Furthermore, there were seven male infants and seven female infants.
The statement added that 46 of the repatriated Nigerians were in poor health, which necessitated their immediate transfer to a health facility for medical attention.
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) facilitated the return flight in collaboration with Nigerian authorities.
