When an illness enters the human body, care is extremely important. Health is everything. The kidneys play a very important role in the body, so there are certain types of food they need when they encounter a problem. Care is very helpful during treatment. Here is a list of some types of food that a person with kidney disease should avoid.
1. FOODS HIGH IN PROTEIN
If you have kidney problems, eating too much meat puts extra strain on your kidneys because protein produces "nitrogenous wastes" that the kidneys struggle to filter.
Examples: meat, fish, eggs, cheese, beans, milk, etc.
1. FOODS CONTAINING CHEMICALS
Examples – Canned foods, noodles, sausages, and snacks contain preservatives and sodium that are harmful to the kidneys.
1. VERY SALTY FOODS
Food cooked with a lot of seasoning cubes or too much salt raises blood pressure, putting additional strain on the kidneys.
1. SOFT DRINKS and ENERGY DRINKS
These contain "phosphorus and sugar" which slowly damage the kidneys and liver. Examples: coke, pepsi, monster, red bull, and similar drinks.
1. BANANAS, ORANGES, AND OTHER CITRUS FRUITS HIGH IN POTASSIUM
If the kidneys cannot filter potassium, it builds up in the body and can cause heart failure, so it is best to avoid them.
Health is everything in the human body, so it is good to strive to take care of one's health. Finally, it is advised to eat good food, drink clean water, eat fruits in moderation, and always consult a doctor whenever facing a problem. May God grant us health, amen.
