The All Progressives Congress (APC) Kaduna State chapter has accused political thugs of attacking its members and damaging party property and vehicles across parts of the state.
The party’s State Publicity Secretary, Sani Dan-Azare, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday.
Dan-Azare called on the police and other security agencies to conduct a swift and fair investigation to determine the causes of the attacks and bring those responsible to justice.
He noted that various allegations have surfaced regarding the incidents, urging security agencies to examine all available evidence and information to establish the truth.
The APC spokesperson stated that Kaduna State has made significant progress in curbing the political, ethnic, and religious conflicts that once threatened its peace. He warned against turning back the clock through violence, intimidation, or the destruction of property.
Dan-Azare further emphasized that the APC will continue to advocate for peaceful politics and policy-driven dialogue, calling on all political parties, candidates, and their supporters to operate strictly within the law.
He appealed to APC members and affiliated support groups across the state to remain calm and refrain from retaliation or taking the law into their own hands.
Finally, he stated that no voter or politician should allow political zeal to override the peace and security of Kaduna State, reiterating his call for security agencies to verify the facts of the incidents and let the law take its course.
