The trophy, which contains gold worth approximately seven hundred and thirteen thousand dollars ($713,000), equivalent to five hundred and thirty-two thousand pounds (£532,000), also weighs six point one seven five kilograms (6.175kg), according to research conducted by the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG).
It was designed and sculpted by an Italian artist named Silvio Gazzaniga of Italy in 1971, and it was also manufactured at the Bertoni workshop in Milan, Italy.
The team that emerges victorious in the match to be played tonight, Sunday, between Argentina and Spain will only lift the trophy temporarily, and will then return it immediately so that it can be taken back to its vault.
The winning country will go home with a replica of the trophy that has been gold-plated, while the original trophy will return to the storage vault of the museum in Zurich.
