In a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by the ministry's Director of Press and Public Relations, Folasade Boriowo, she clarified that the claim is false and that there is no evidence to support it.

She stated that the ministry has not presented any bill before the National Assembly to scrap NBAIS, nor has it approved any policy that would undermine the board's operations.

Boriowo warned that such false information could cause fear and confusion among students, parents, teachers, religious groups, and other stakeholders.

She emphasized that NBAIS remains an agency recognized by the Nigerian government for conducting examinations and issuing certificates within the country's educational system.

The ministry also affirmed that the federal government will continue to support all legally established educational agencies, while adhering to national education policies and the principles of fairness and equal opportunity for all.

Finally, the ministry urged the public to disregard the report, and advised them to always rely on authentic information from government agencies to obtain accurate updates on policies and changes affecting education.
