US House to Vote on Full Release of Epstein Files Next Week, Johnson Says

The United States House of Representatives is set to hold a vote next week on whether to fully release the files related to Jeffrey Epstein, according to House Speaker Mike Johnson.

Johnson stated on Wednesday that the move aims to ensure transparency and give the public access to all information surrounding Epstein’s network and associates.

Epstein, a wealthy financier, was convicted of sex trafficking and abuse of minors, crimes that involved numerous high-profile figures around the world. He died in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial, in what authorities ruled as suicide, though the case continues to spark controversy and conspiracy theories.

If passed, the measure would require the Department of Justice and FBI to declassify and release all documents, communications, and records connected to Epstein’s activities, associates, and financial dealings.

Speaker Johnson emphasized that “the American people deserve the truth” and that releasing the files could help restore trust in institutions that have long been accused of covering up powerful individuals involved in the scandal.

The vote is expected to draw bipartisan attention, as both Democrats and Republicans have expressed support for uncovering the full extent of Epstein’s connections and influence.
