The Nigerian Police Force, Kaduna State Command, has arrested three suspects for alleged child theft and rescued 17 children in Zaria.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Mansir Hassan, stated in a release that the suspects were arrested after gathering intelligence on some children seen under the Danmagaji Bridge.
He said police officers who raided the location found children of various ages who were planned to be trafficked to Abuja, Nigeria's capital, and other parts of the country.
The police said the suspects are from Katsina and Kano states and confessed to luring children from various locations and transporting them to Abuja.
