As reported by Muhammad Kwairi Waziri, the former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, has urged Nigerian universities to establish an Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology committee to guide the use of this technology in various areas such as teaching, learning, research, and university administration.
Pantami made this statement during a conference on educational and technological development, where he stated that AI technology is crucial for the future of education and that universities should establish a robust framework to regulate its use fairly and responsibly.
He added that establishing such a committee would help develop new teaching and research methods in Nigerian universities while reducing reliance on traditional approaches.
