According to the President, a new joint strategy involving the Nigerian Air Force, the Army, and other security agencies has been put in place to ensure swift and effective attacks on criminal hideouts, while minimizing harm to civilians.

Tinubu explained that the decision is part of his government’s broader plan to end terrorism, kidnapping, and banditry, especially in the North-West and North-Central regions.

He stressed that the government would not show mercy to those who threaten national peace, saying, “Anyone who raises a weapon against a Nigerian is raising it against the entire nation.”

Reports indicate that new air operations have already commenced in parts of Zamfara, Katsina, and Kaduna States, destroying several bandit camps and neutralizing key leaders of the criminal groups.
